Introductory and Certified, London, January 2014

We had 25 candidates and 21 achieved the Introductory qualification, there were 12 Certified passes out of the 17 who attempted it.

Tutorial Day for Master Sommelier Candidates in Frankfurt, Germany

Court of Master Sommeliers Europe is running a Tutorial for all those studying for their Master Sommelier Diploma.

The day will include Tasting 12 wines with examples Theory Questions, Study hints and Practical observations.

It will be 10-4pm on 5th May in Frankfurt, Germany and will be hosted by Frank Kämmer MS and Nigel Wilkinson MS.

There is a charge of 50 Euros per person to cover costs.

Tutorial Day for Master Sommelier Candidates in London

The Court of Master Sommeliers Europe is running a Tutorial for all those studying for their Master Sommelier Diploma.

The day will include tasting 12 wines with example Theory Questions, Study Hints and Practical Observations.

It will be 11-5pm on 7th May at a Central London location. There is a charge of £40 person to cover costs.

Three new Master Sommeliers pass in London Exams

We had a very international group for this years MS exam in London; candidates from Singapore, Australia, Mexico, Greece, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada and France. There were 24 candidates in total.

The UK restaurants represented included the Savoy, the Ritz, the Ledbury, the Fat Duck, Medlar, Northcote Manor, Zuma and Dinner.

Congratulations to three new Master Sommeliers – Kathrine Larsen from Denmark (who works at Zuma) Aristide Spies from Belgium (who was third in the last World Sommelier Competition in Tokyo) and Sebastien Crowther from Australia.
